Luke had a rare illness (for a dog) and required constant care for the last four years of his life. He was special to me in a way I can’t fully express, but he taught me a lot about myself and I loved him more than I can say.
Right now I don’t care about running or working out. It’s a bad way to start out the new year, I know. I just want to go to bed and wake up when January is over with.

i'm sorry you're mising your dog so badly. that last picture makes me smile. it looks like luke said something funny to make you laugh just as the pic was taken (shut up, i know dogs can't talk).
and i can't judge since i haven't been running either.

Thanks, Jan. Luke always had something funny to say! I was smiling there because he kept pawing me. It was something he always did, though I was never sure why. I think it was so I would pay attention to him. Which was silly because he was always there.
I'll hopefully be feeling well enough to run on Tuesday. Fingers crossed, eh? We can slack off now and again. It's allowed.

Thanks, Christie. (Hug) I still feel like crap, but I'm going to do some strength training today. It's a great day for a run (despite the snow predicted for later this afternoon), but I don't want to push it.
